i really would rather not have to outsource it.. and i would rather have my own 3D printer.. i saw what http://www.stratasys.com/ was doing and i like what i saw there.. it allowed me more control.. also since i am self taught in 3D im very unsure about the meshes themselves and in reading the FAQS at shapeways, it looks like my work would have a lot of issues for the printers to deal with..
also im unsure still on my builds.. visually i try to create my vector work as 3D items.. but as most people has told me .. when its in 3D objects may not interact with each other so well and overlapping occurs..
what is a solve for that over lapping? i use Modo. maybe this isnt the thread for this question..
