The local news just did a story on "The Cost of DUI" this morning.
They broke it down and said it was going to coast at least 13k... 5 thousand in fines, 3k+ in lawyers, insurance, court costs, mandatory treatment and counseling, loss of work, etc etc... They also reminded their viewers that a majority of DUI's don't cause accidents or fatalities.
If this is your first offense and have a clean record I would definitely get a lawyer that specializes in DUIs. Especially if your telling us the truth and said you only had 3 drinks.
