One place I worked just got 2 sawhorses, a wooden door, a piece of plywood sized to match the door, and a piece of glass sized to match.

    cheap and flexible and designer-esque....

Then they placed a TON of photos and ads and design idea stuff under the glass, on top of the plywood.... it looked brilliant.... and was cheap... they changed images every so often too.... so in a way, they could customize it for a pitch....

    • nice idea alright.nephronim
    • i have a couple those (minus the glass) as a desk in my study and a worktop in my garage.sine
    • you can get trestles and tops in different finishes (or paint them yourself if you want)sine
    • IKEA used to sell 1/2" glass tops you could buy by themselves to put atop whatever table you built on your ownidiots
    • ooh. why did Ikea stop selling that glass?vaxorcist
