    A friend of mine started getting panic attacks once in while then over time it escalated to the sad point in which he is now unable to leave the house and has had to leave his job.

    You've got to get a hold of this before it gets a hold of you. If you're not diseased then the cause is most probably related to diet and exercise, take a blood test to check for a vitamin or mineral deficiency and have a look at forms of stress release like yoga or meditation so you have the knowledge to control it when it happens.

    Also, avoid excitotoxins at all costs. ie. aspartame, MSG, HVP etc not only are they highly toxic but they will chemically prevent you from recovering.
