Get LinkedIn. It says "I know the world is bigger than print, I can engage an audience outside of who I may be most comfortable with, I have recommendations published here for all to see so they are not bullshit, I live in the real business world" ---weather that is true or not is irrelevant. For instance, for some it may signal that you are "tech and social media savvy"... Don't underestimate how over-valued LinkedIn is.
