This is looks cool and all but...

It is a decade old games engine, already ported to every platform out there including iOS (originally for 3GS), Android.

My copy of UT 2003 (UE3) came on 6 CDs; my browser caches 100MB - how long will I have to wait to download something (akin to the demo video) using this?

I'm guessing that the games are still deployed from UnrealEditor or whatever (ie. focused at allowing publishers to deploy their games on multiple platforms, and for promos/ demos) so it's probably not going to undead Flash or (like Unity before it) realise any of the potential advantages of having such a game in a browser in the first place...

    • ok, UT2003 was Unreal 2 but stillkingsteven
    • ..but still, you've just realised your point was wholly undermined, or..?detritus
    • Well, mostly undermined.detritus
    • na, other than it's not a decade old engine (more like 5 years)kingsteven
    • i mean it looks great, i'm not arguing that. i'd just consider alternativa a better engine in this context...kingsteven
    • even with the comparatively shitty graphicskingsteven
    • define a better engine? apart from unreal, cryengine and unity, what would you use?M_C_P
    • in the context of the possibilities of GPU accelerated graphics in flash, all those games engines are great but they're just buying up real estatekingsteven
    • ...buying up browser real estate.kingsteven
