    The original query was 'Does anyone know where I could commission a piece like this?' and not 'Does anyone here want to bid on making this?'

    semantics anyone... then how come someone got it right and is about to get paid right now?

    I asked here because there are talented people on here as the person who contacted me is extremely talented... and I don't have the time nor the tools to do this... by the time I am done buying the tools I would be spending more then I would to get it made...

    capn_ron - how do I need to relax when out of 18+ posts... only 2 were helpful?

    If everyone on this board wasn't so quick to be sarcastic... it would be a great board...

    I didn't want a learning experience I wanted to give a gift to a friend.. yet somehow instead of just answering the question most folks on here are like "make it yourself"... "here's a bunch of pictures of a saw and a work table so I can try to make other people laugh and not answer your question"

    if I said "hey where can I get started creating this? any suggestions?" then I would have expected those silly responses... but that's not what I asked...
