Have you been laid off as part of a cost cutting exercise? or laid off for being a shit employee?
If its the former, you'll know because they'll be too busy stressing about saving the company to show you any sympathy. If its the latter, you'll know because they will have sat you down and explained to you that its necessary to lay you off as part of a cost cutting exercise.
