On the one hand you can read things like this and respond like "Wow, I've been especially selected to appear in a book of great graphic design and all I have to do is supply some files and pay the submission fee" or the other way to look at it is "Wow, these people have a very clever way of selling me advertising space in a book that nobody will ever see".
