@ Continuity - yes, I changed everything to divs and am using that instead. It seems to be working. Is this ok, or did I just come up with a cheap work-around?
@jadrian_uk - yes, the localized text will be handled server-side.
@vaxorcist - technically, I'm the client, but you can look at this as though I'm creating an engine (like the developers who created wordpress) to be used by many. this is why i'm trying to learn about the implications of going either route.
