This is really funny to me (not) because in Brazil you have to put your age in your CV, and if you don't that's probably will be the first question of the interview.
And it's quite a common practice to fire old people, yep, 3rd world problem.

    • good gawd. If Brasil is 3rd world, I don't wanna live in the 1st.threadpost
    • But Brazil is 3rd world, actually if you go to the North, unfortunately it is 5th world :(chrisRG
    • north, like Fortaleza? I thought that place was very nice. Idk much about ParĂ¥ or Amazonas tho. Brasil is tops in my book.threadpost
    • But you're only seeing the tourist part, aren't you? More than 50% of the North ppl doesn't have Sewage treatment and illiterate rate are really highchrisRG
    • I wont even mention the highly illiterate rates. Sao Paulo, Rio and mot big cities are ok, but the rest is ver poor ;(chrisRG
    • You're correct. I only have a tourist visa. Tho I have several Brasilian friends and have "traveled" a bit beyond Corcovado.threadpost
    • ...beyond Corcovado. I'm sure there are serious poverty/health/educa... probs. Only that I like what I saw or heard.threadpost
    • I know... I feel so bad about that, it's such a good place, I just wish it would be safer and had a smaller social gap.chrisRG
    • Brasil is the 50 yr world future. No: U.S, China,India,Russia,E... They're economic independent and gross xportersthreadpost
    • Perhaps rather than carrying on w/ conversation in a post-it note, we should start a thread? chrisRG = GO! I'm a lazy gringo.threadpost
