Greyscale in INDD

    If you have the image in Indesign as a grayscale tiff, have you added a colour to the image in the box or is it black?

    You can change the colour of grayscale tiff by selecting it with the white arrow, so if you've changed this withing realising (ie to a 75% gray etc) it would look lighter.

    Another thing to look out for is the way Indesign and Acrobat display black. If you go to Indesign and Preferences then look for 'Appearance of Black'. You can change how blacks are displayed. 100K can look gray while 'Rich' black (black made from two or more colours) will look like black.

    See if either of those helps.
