It's not even a battle friend.

Let me put it this way so slower members of QBN can follow. :)

MySpace was the new hot night club on the block. There were some similar joints but they were mostly like coffee shops and Starbucks.. MySpace was the full blown, dancing, singing, half naked, from MySpace to my place night club. It was so cool that people were just talking about it everywhere, people were friending everyone and bringing their parents and friends etc etc. It was the golden age for MySpace.

But, after a while, just next door, some guy opened a new nightclub. It was partying like crazy, people hooking up, but wait! you couldn't join. OMG.. What kind of craziness is going on there when you can't really join. It's closed up and not everyone can join it. The vanity strikes people and those who do join feel honored because they feel like an elite. That 300 pound muscle guy at the door lets you in but not the other guys. It's shit hot.

And one day, this new nightclub Facebook decides to now start letting everyone in. Not only you can now be a member of the elite, you hate MySpace. It's so lame and all of your friends get a message/text that you are on Facebook now and that MySpace is like lame.

So Facebook is the new super hot night club on the block now. There were a few other hot clubs around and they had people coming, and you stop by on and off but none really had the exclusivity not to mention accommodations and service as Facebook's lounges are sweet. All the hot people were there now and they have brought all their friends from MySpace and Friendster etc.

But after a while, you start really hating this club. It's dull, it hasn't really become any more fun, same people, same page (with a few renovations here and there). Not only that but the manager is now rude, barges in the bathrooms and invades your privacy. People are coming out yelling they'll never go back there. But they do anyways because no matter how much you are bored of it, it's still the hottest club on the block and you got used to it. You certainly don't want to go back to MySpace! ;)

So now, out of the blue, a new exclusive club opens up next to Facebook. This thing rocks. Has super sweet interior, dance podium is HUGE and has all the bells and whistles Facebook club can't even imagine (it has email, calendars, apps, circles, hangouts) and the hottest kids are now on it. Everybody wants in but invites are hard to come by and you are just itching to join. Facebook sees that the new kid on the block is attracting all the attention and they start bringing in outside entertainers (Skype and others) but that's only making those who are sick and tired of Facebook even more annoyed.

On the other hand, G+ club not only looks cool, it's exclusive but and actually useful. It's not just vanity, it's productivity now too and you can dance, flirt, hang out with friends, work etc.

So you join, and wait for the new hot spot to open up to public so you can invite all your friends to it and tell them how they are lame for using Facebook and Google+ is unbelievable new place. Sounds familiar?

I hope you see the point.

But in seriousness, the battle was over when Google decided to merge all their services and create a social network around them.

Before I leave, I'll let you meet Google Hangouts. Thing that is ultimately much cooler than any Skype/Facebook chat crap.
