'he doesn't have too much technical ability' - define that, you are saying it factually. Are you really the type of person who judges an artist on how 'real' something looks? Would you cast aside the majority of 20th C art because it's abstract or abstracted?
If his 'stuff' isn't too unique, can you name me some artists working in the same way - I'd love to see them. Photography, drawing, sculpture and painting.
I'm biased, I think he's a genius and one of the best modern painters there was. However, and this applies across fine art and design, if you're going to be critical of anything at least put some kind of context or at least reasoning to your comments. You sound like my gran, 'an elephant could have done it'.
