The ill effects of circumcision aren't limited to the groin. Sometimes the anesthetic the babies are given make them groggy for a couple of days, which impedes the process of learning to breastfeed. This happened to a friend of mine, she persevered, but for those who don't/can't it can effect the nutritional health of the baby and the emotional bond between the mother and the child.
The most common, and most ridiculous argument i've heard for circumcision is the "we don't want his stuff to look different than his dad's". Don't know about you, but i can't remember one single time that me and my pops compared our junk. Not one. Just sayin'.
