Oh for fucks sake, what do you expect if 100k people are pissed off and drunk ? It's naive to think that anything else would occur.
In the grander scheme of things:
Some cars were burned out/destroyed : Stimulates the auto industry.
Some windows were broken : Stimulates the local glass installer companies
Some Police worked extra hours : Spending their overtime in local stores, etc.Overall, there is never a net gain or loss. Every 'loss' is someone else's gain, somewhere - there isn't black hole, money just goes round and round.
Personally, I find shots of people standing on top of burning cars liberating - if only we could direct that passion into real causes like being fucked up the ass and round the corner by the banks then we might get shit done.- uh ya... I live here and would have to say this just sucks. Nothing to be gained here at all.aldebaran
- Everyone expected this actually. a la 1994JSK
- It was expected. But obviously it'd be nice if people could be a bit more civil. Some cities are better than others at this.Jaline
- yup. this pales in comparison to 94brandelec
- Actually, it'll be a loss as I'll have to pay for some of this crap in my taxes.t_rock
