does your image use transparencies? what i mean, is the art that is not visible adding either tone or hue to the foreground image in any way? i ask because if you delete them and you are using transparencies, to give shadows or create form and you delete them, you will lose the colour or the hue in the front or it will change itself to look different.. again only asking if you are using transparencies.. carry on if otherwise..
