there is also one HUGE problem with HTML5/JS apps and stuff..

How will you share it? If anyone thinks that any social or commercial site will allow you to push iframes or execute JS code on their platforms/sites, you are batshit crazy.. not only it's a security risk but you can load whatever you want in those iframes.

So let's say you do make a banner with this tool. It's animated beautiful and all that jazz.. would definitely like to see how you will share that across the social sphere and how you can embed interactive content like Flash apps and widget and players into the Facebook streams and other places.

People don't want to believe it, but as much as propriatery is not great, the runtime aspect of Flash solves way too many problems to be replaced and there aren't real, tangible solutions to what it already does but in HTML5/JS.

A couple of things where i think it's just impossible to avoid:

    1. Access to cameras, microphone, and basically hardware
    2. Sharable and social. Flash offers full blown applications to be shareable anywhere on the web without breaking security and causing headaches.
    3. Multi-bitrate video streaming, HTTP streaming, Peer-to-Peer video streaming, Flash Media Server various capabilities etc
and quite a few other things.
4, Not ot mention the full GPU acceleartion, new Stage Video, video with alphas, advanced audio support and manipulation, advanced bitmap data manipulation etc etc.

There's a reason why big video sites Vimeo, YouTube and others still have object tag for embed and sharing. iFrame just doesn't work and the proof is very simple. Try embeding an iFrame sharable video from Vimeo on QBN in your post. But you can embed YouTube. You can have YouTube because it's' flash and won't give QBN the headaches of thinking whether or not someone will hack the site or find some exploit with iframe or what have you.

And in the world of social interaction on the web, sharing your shit and promoting stuff, this is just unacceptable.
