"i don't see how evoking more fear of life is a positive."Well, not a positive, per say, and I know the odds of being abducted and having something like this done to you is extremely low, but still, it can't hurt to be reminded that you cannot trust strangers.
It would be nice to have some simple piece of mind knowing Ive got a can of mace on me or something, knowing that if I did end up at the wrong place at the wrong time, Ive got a chance.
