I told the trumpet player in my band: my wife's not coming, she doesn't care much for these things. He said, "isn't that JUST LIKE AN AMERICAN WOMAN! They think they can be all independent! I told my wife, YOU'RE MY WIFE and i would like you to be beside me! If you're not interested I can find somebody else!"
Bottom line is, you need to look outside the USA to get a woman who will accompany you everywhere.
