I can only speak for ourselves - when we hire on contract ( full-time for more than 2 weeks) we expect a day rate that's more attractive than a straight up hourly rate. Everything is negotiable though, as said above.

    • Where does an average day rate range fall in TO right now?ETM
    • For AD's? Depends on experience, we never hire AD's here, but the last time I freelanced about 5 years ago was for about $375/dayben_
    • I was charging around $375/day. We bring in senior designers for around that currently... depends really.ben_
    • around two bacon strips. canadian bacon, that is.akrok
    • oh. that's close to mind day rate. and not the bacon rate. :-)akrok
    • ..i mean, my rate. not mind, for bloody hell. lol.akrok
    • Hmmm... I thought my day rate was a little low. Now I realize it might be a bit high.ETM

    • Like I said, that's for a senior designer around here now. It's been years since I freelanced.ben_
