If it's the first week in April then get the "Seishun Juhachi (18) Kippu" which means something like "youth play 18 ticket". Anyway, it's a five day unlimited use train ticket for nationwide travel on local and rapid Japan Railways. The cost is 11,500 yen so like 140 american, but unlimited travel. That can get you anywhere you want to go. You can purchase them at most JR (Japan Railways) stations. Then only things is that they stop selling them for the spring on March 31.
