My boyfriend is not a designer but he definitely understands the what I do which helps which helps him commiserate with the twists and turns with my career. He's a musician. There's a lot of commonality between our two careers. But, I'm also glad we don't do the same exact thing. Although I do a lot of music related stuff with him, I would hate running in the same work circles professionally in design.
