I got to admit, I wore jewlery and a D&G jacket and never felt threatened.... I don't think I look particularly scary, but I always go out in a group. DF now seems pretty safe to me compared to the other places I've been. Have fun, but don't be stupid; basic advice.
Although I'm not sure I'd recommend street food... or at least it didn't get along with me... but I think I also drank about 2 liters of ...whatever it was... that night, so puking could have been from multiple sources.
