Years ago I had a fling at work that kind of faded out but I later learned that the girl was really into me and was hurt that I ended it. A year later a position opened up in another department in the company and it turns out that she was promoted to manager of that department and I would have to report to her. It was a great position and I had a talk with her to get her opinion as to whether I should apply thinking that everything was cool. Oh, how everything was not cool AT ALL and that fling ended up preventing me from even attempting to get that position. Felt like a Seinfeld episode or something.
