    my first boss in 'design' was a lady by the name of Liz Kubica.
    this was when i was a teenager and was working in the composition dept of a local newspaper. she was the production manager.
    She was about 4ft nothing, and was never without a mug of coffee as jet black as a soul in hell. she had this unerring way of seeing when someone wasn't pulling their weight, or was fucking the dog or whatever..and she'd pierce you with a glare that was .....well...it was scary......
    aside from that she was actually cool as hell to work for, so long as you kept busy and did your job....

    sorry...didn't mean to hijack the thread, but the name jarred a memory.....
