I really enjoyed it. Thought the lead dude was a bit shite but I liked the concept. I thought it was really well shot, and agree that its a good sign of what can be done with a very limited budget and an improvised script. I thought the ending was great, but I reckon that biggest flaw with the film was that it seemed to be pitched as a kind of 'district 9' which it clearly wasn't. The name and advertising suggests a large scale action film, instead of a low budget, intimate character film.
Incidently, the extras weren't scripted in a lot of scenes either. Theres a scene in the jungle where they are around the campfire and their guide is talking about seeing one of the monsters nearby, he was actually describing a ufo encounter one of his family had years ago.
- yes - trailers and announcing were totally missleading and no good for the movie.arne
