i will say the movie had some potential. first, they should have focused more on the orwellian aspects of it and given the film a more serious tone with only a few well-timed action sequences so as not to take away from the story. the matrix did an ok job at this at least on their first film.
second, the 'bad guy' is probably one of the worst actors i've ever seen in the history of movie making. i'm sure he's doing well now in his career as a flight attendent or stand up comic...
