  It's amazing to me that Malick's "The New World" didn't do well, or, maybe it's not amazing to me, given our culture's shortening attention span and addiction to comic book and video game movies. That film on Blu-ray is a total sensory cinematic experience, and incredibly moving, probably Malick's most emotionally accessible film. "Tree of Life" looks to be Malick's 2001. It's been gestating in one form or another for 30+ years, and evidence points toward the fact that there will be some startling and revolutionary uses of CGI in this film....
