You guys know that Levi Strauss invented jeans right?
They are the orginal and were the best. I love the brand heritage, and I buy Levi's Vintage range, not sure about now, but they used to be made on the same looms in the US.All the boutique japanese demin companies bought many of the original Levi's looms and make their 'authentic' selvedge demin on them and then charge $100s for them.
Even the name Evisu comes from Levi's (it's levi's without the L and with a U at the end). so why buy these boutique jeans when Levi's are still going and are the orginal inspiration for everyone else.
Sure the regular Levi's jeans these days are pretty crappy. But buy a pair of unwashed Levi's Vintage 501xx and they'll last ages and wear down as you wear em. All the details are correct, the redline selvedge, the rivets in all the right places, the Big E tag etc.
