I bought the Nexus One in January when it first came out, it turned out to be a big mistake, the phone died in July when I was overseas. The power button was broken and I had to send it back when I returned from my trip. HTC's customer service is horrid and they charged me $198 for the refurbished phone they had sent me. They claim it was due to a faulty motherboard which for some reason is not cover under warranty. There were a few other people with the same issue I had and got the same "faulty mobo" bs. Google does not handle customer service at all, they seem to abandon their crappy product and throw everything to the equally bad HTC.

The phone isn't completely bad but the way both companies handled the case will stop me from buying any phones from them again. I expected this from HTC but not Google. Don't get me wrong, Android phones aren't horrible, but they are not at the level of practicality where Apple is yet. So I jumped the Iphone bandwagon 3 days ago and for now I'm glad I switched.

And thats my Android horror story.

    • The thing is, your story is about HTC - and this phone is made by Samsung. They're two different companies.lukus_W
    • ... sounds like a bad experience though.lukus_W
    • I know, I'd just thought I tell my experience with my Android phone and Google. I have used Samsung phones in the past and they are ok. Not pretty looking but very durable and practical.spookykat
    • that does suck dude. but again as lukus said, that's like blaming windows for a faulty hard drive. android and htc are different.Hombre_Lobo_2
