Hi there, I'm the creator of Balazs Koch's website.
Some info about the site:
- it is a single page website using AJAX techniques for image display (lazy loading for slider images and thumbnails, custom DOM injection for fullscreen images)
- dynamic image include from the server and custom administration pages
- it is built on native browser technologies, it works without any third-party plugin (no-flash), so it's not for the Apple users, it is for everyone; it is lot faster than Flash (especially on mobile devices) and keeps your CPU temperature on a normal level :)
- used technologies: XHTML 1.0 Strict, CSS 2.1, jQuery 1.4.3, PHP- Great workJuniorSenior
- Nice work! However, this runs pretty slow. I wouldn't go as far as to say it runs faster than Flash.fyoucher1
- First page load takes 14 GET requests to the server with an empty cache (135kb). It must be fast :) The website contains heavy image content only and the server is located in Hungary, keep that in mind.kissgyuri
