Wow, this thread is full of complainers. And I agree that the writing can be sloppy at times. But a lot of the stuff has an OK explanation. It's not perfect. If you've read the books you know the story does get better, and that there are more interesting characters later.

ukit, that vibrator thing was realistic. *That's* what bothered you? And there's more interesting conversation to come about the men vs. women thing.

The main issue with translating these stories to TV is that things are always going to be left out or altered to fit the medium. It's great, because you get the special effects, but bad when it comes to some of the subtle scenes that involve character development. For example, I definitely got the impression that there was something emotional going on between Shane and Lori while Rick was in the hospital or even before then. I think it may have started with Shane first, and then he told Lori that her husband had died. She started sleeping with Shane: for comfort, because he also lost Rick, and because he protected her and her son.

    • I mean I definitely got that impression while reading the book. But who knows how it will play out on TV.Jaline
    • haha, its not that it wasn't realistic, just the "OMG, you did not say that" reaction they had seemed kind of idiotic and cliched.ukit
    • cliched. Having said that, it didn't make or break the show for me:)ukit
    • complainers have rights toohonestly
