    The beauty of Akira is that they're all 16 year old punks. Not late twenty-somethings.

    After Akira breaks loose (in the manga) the city is destroyed (again) and your left with these young gangs trying to create a new empire in the rubble. It's Lord of the Flies really, and bloody epic. Pretty different from the anime.
