    this happens a lot. I use to work at WetSeal Inc. M.I.S. Dept back in 2000-2003 our CEO decided to make the work week something like 8.55 hrs per day and this way we had every other Friday off. Everyone loved it. Maybe try and do the same. Of course if you have clients or are in any kind of customer service that may not work.
