Buy a nicer home in the 400-500K range. In this market 500K will buy a real nice house. Rent my old home out for a few years until the market bounces back and I can at least get what I bought it for.
Invest the the other 500K and either keep working until that grows into something I could retire on or go back to school to become an architect.
