I came home tonight and my Apple TV was sitting on my doorstep.
I was so excited to get inside and hook it up only to be completely disappointed it didn't come with an HDMI cable.
After a trip to Target, $25, upgrading to itunes 10, a restart, then logging into my wifi, itune s and netflix I'm finally up and running!
It only took a littl more than 1 hour and that included the trip to Target.
I don't have cable but stream a bunch of netflix stuff on my PS3 in my living room.
This is in the bedroom but with $3.99-$7.99 for movie rental plus .99 for tv shows I can see this costing me more than premium cable. I will mostley just watch netflix and ripped movies but the radio and iphoto screen saver seems to be an extra bonus.

The package and product design is cool as expected.

As for that Raku XDS. I will never buy another Raku after I fell for that soundbridge product that set me back hundreds of dollars and was outdated and non compatible with itunes after 6 months. This Apple TV does everything that soundbridge did (streams internet radio and plays my itunes) plus plays movies all for a fraction of the price.
Plus my walmart $19.99 oscillating fan has abetter designed remote than that Roku XDS.
