I do think these brit tourist party animals are no different from american college / university (whatever the equivalent is) party animals. Like those jersey shore tools or spring break parties. Obviously the NY times wouldnt make mention of that.
Every culture has their share of complete idiots. America is most definitely no different.
And contrary to what you said most of these british party animals aren't pikeys. pikeys couldn't afford to go on holiday. They are just clubbers. They haven't been to prison. Being a young brit i know the type of party crowd, they arent ex-cons or something. Maybe you're just intimidated by brits. Like some people are intimidated by other cultures.
That said, these british party tourists do make me ashamed to be british. Look like a complete bunch of inbreds.
