I'm very interested in experimental interfaces, mixing things up to try something different and trying to achieve useful aims using unconventional techniques.

However - I think that any designed interface needs to solve problems, rather than present users with difficulties.

I'm not trying to be disparaging for the sake of it - but I don't think that this website makes it's primary purpose obvious, and don't think it's particular easy to view the work or learn about the company.

Maybe in some cases challenging the user is worthwhile - but I don't see the logic behind making a potential client jump through hoops, because an interface is cumbersome and difficult to navigate.

From my situation, all the positive comments _seem_ like they're driven by a desire to say the right thing, rather than a true appreciation. This is only because I can't understand what it has going for it; which I'm very happy to admit, might be because I'm being short-sighted.

If you disagree with me - please tell me why this works? I'm very happy to learn something new.

    • After a short familirisation with the mechanics involved I looked through the whole site with ease, large images, good copy, use the keys to browse.gradiate
    • No, I'd argue that the work trumps the site - _despite_ the UI, the work makes perseverance worthwhile.lukus_W
    • But maybe there's an argument that users shouldn't have it too easy... not sure I agree - but it's prob worth a thought anyway.lukus_W
