    thank you guys .. so much

    Herman got really bad shortly after 4th of July. He stopped eating and drinking very little. His kidneys began to fail and he had a thyroid problem as well. He lost weight very rapidly. I took to the vet last Friday and they gave me an ointment to put on the inside of his ear to get him feel better so he would eat. But that didn't work. and I could see every day he'd have less and less energy. So this past Sunday and Monday he didn't even come into my room and jump up on my bed which he had done for 10 straight. and Tuesday night I come home from dinner and he is lying there motionless and I thought for a second that he was gone .. so i checked his breathing and he was still there .. just very out of it... so I go to bed and an hour later I hear him walking towards my bed and he attempts to jump on my bed ... the little guy .. who has been so sick tries his best to jump up on my bed and couldn't so I immediately picked him and he lay by my side for a while and at least until I fell asleep.
    Heart of a lion. I tell ya that moment is forever in my memory.
    Every time I think about it I get choked up.
