I was an advisor for a student in the program last semester. Don't know a ton about the program through personal experience, but I went to a few of the thesis presentations and they were pretty solid. I know the working faculty who teach courses are pretty top notch... people like Carin Goldberg, Paula Scher, and Steven Heller is a co-chair, so if you like that sort of New York school of graphic design, it's a pretty good resource for hands on learning. I don't think the courses get quite as conceptual as say a Cooper Union, Cranbrook, or CalArts, but it's probably what you make of it. They probably offer some decent job placement opportunities if you plan on staying in NY after graduating there. Good luck.
