I had assumed, from the initial picture drgsss posted, that after impaling him the horn could only rip out the entire jawbone - effectively eviscerating the entire lower half of his face.
Given that - I think the daft fucker got off bloody lucky.
Not going to comment on the morality of bull-fighting; My consumption habits support an equally horrific industry whose inner machinations I am pleasantly removed from.
