My Sony MDR v6 stopped working from the left side, not sure if this is easy to fix or not, I had them for years and look brand new, I even upgraded the cheap vinyl ear covers for ones that offer better isolation and are more comfy.
But in the meantime I got these HD 280 which are in the same category of pro-sumer audio headphones, and I have to say, these sound amazing. Low frequencies from tracks I'm working right now are nearly inaudible on the Sonys and sound amazing here.
I have not been able to turn the volume all the way up yet, because they get incredibly loud, also just by trying them on, you feel more isolation than with the upgraded covers on the Sony.
Very happy so far, and to think a week ago I wouldn't even consider switching from sony
