Had an epiphany... its a portable media player

I use my iphone to watch the bbc iplayer.

If all the tv companies start allowing Video on demand through wireless.... I just watched Man utd on the Sky sports app on my iphone.

The screen is just big enough to be a portable tv, e-reader, Stereo system given a decent set of speakers - especially wireless ones...

It could (in italics) be the device that actually quickens the wireless TV revolution that coming, the streaming not owning of music, the renting of books and the wireless stereo. Is it the convergence device?

I dont like the way it looks, but ALL media companies from EMI to Fox to BBC to SKY to TIME to Every paper ever NEED a device to move their business model on.

This is the life boat that might take them to dry land? Everyone will follow and you know they will...

    • finally someone else is thinking about the bigger picture and not just bitching about flash and cameras like a douchemonospaced
    • I know for a fact that a couple of the major uk magazine publishers are very excited about it as a real viable platform for their contentdorfsman
    • for their content and subsequent subscription models (another debate I know)dorfsman
