from a design point of view, skinning your browser of choice is a bit like asking a chef if you can add ketchup to his soup.
These companies spend a lot of time thinking about the usability, and with every update, they try harder or make minor improvements - albeit, not very well sometimes. but by skinning it, you're missing out.
