Was talking with a friend about the "iSlate" occurred to me, and he said something like, "I think it's such a stupid name, humorous a bit, but silly—you don't write in a slate, you write on a slate. It's not a book."

    Which got me thinking......

Apple stopped production of the iBook about 3-4 years ago, right? Which is about the same time development started for the tablet.

Do you think it is possible this was intentional, and that the iSlate will actually be called iBook? They already have great equity in that name, and there would be close to no confusion at all, at least that's what I believe.

Any thoughts? I'm far from a fanboy, but it occurred to me that this could be a real possibility, and was wondering if anyone else agreed.

    • iSlate could have just been a marketing move?dMullins

    • Cool. A friend thought it was a retarded conclusion. I disagree heavily.dMullins
