thinks Finding Nemo is a masterpiece? Easily their worst...
As for Up, although it's not their best (Incredibles, Toy Story 2, Wall-e) it's far from their worst. I took my wife and 5 year old and wasn't expecting much at all but I was emotionally devastated by the first 10 minutes when they summarise Carl's life. I found myself with tears in my eyes which really caught me by surprise. To be affected by 10 mins of animation like that seems unthinkable just a few years ago. Sure the plot's a bit thin and the talking dog concept just didn't work for me, but it's a great family film. And where Pixar continue to overshadow Dreamworks is their ability to emphaphise with the characters and to show the sad times as well as the humour so it's not just all knockabout fun.

That said, my kid and I thought Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was the best kids film we saw this year.

    • Yes, Nemo = Masterpiece. It unveils itself effortlessly, with countless surprises and genius character development.luckyorphan
