    What I think would be interesting is that because of the rich user experience and (presumably) closed format, it could open up a whole new market for apps similar to the iPhone.

    Like it says in the article, news sites could offer access to constantly updating content for a subscription. And actually anyone with a popular blog or content based site could sell an app or access to premium content of some kind.
