^ That is intentional. The book is that essential.

I graduated from CalArts in Character Animation. During that time, I met Frank & Ollie (they signed my copy of their book!), John Lasseter, Frank Oz, Maurice Sendak, James Baxter, Glen Keane and many many more amazing animation pros.

They all, to the last man (and woman), call this book the bible of animation.

It's a history of animation as it started with not just the story of how it all began, but also incredibly essential lessons on character design, backgrounds, pacing, animation and everything a budding animator could want to learn, and needs to know.

Buy no other book before this one. Period.

    • I still freelance in the animation industry, and everyone I know refers to this as THE book.luckyorphan
