  "she's an artist"

  Which begs the question: Are graphic designers and ad/fashion photographers "artists"?

  I'm a commercial photographer and I don't look at my work as art as much as disposable entertainment and tools for trade. Sure, I do art photography and in the last 3 months I've had 4 exhibitions of my art photography, but the major part of my work is far from art. It's just advertising for clothes, mainly.
